Gluten Free Quick Candied Yams
1 or 2 large cans of Yams
1/3 Cup butter
2/3 Cup brown sugar, packed
2/3 Cup syrup from yams
1 Tbls cornstarch
Place yams in a shallow baking dish. Combine syrup from yams, sugar and butter in a saucepan. Stir until boiling. Mix cornstarch in a little bit of cold water. Add to sauce. Pour sauce over yams. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Top with marshmallows. Broil until marshmallows are melted and golden brown.
